Welcome to the Computer Lab

The Springdale School District is committed to providing the very best educational service and programs to every child in our district.   The use of technology is one of these programs being used to integrate the District's high standards of education.  It is the district's mission to utilize technology in a way that will effectively and efficiently complement the classroom curriculum and instruction to all students so that student achievement can be maximized and all children will be prepared for their future.

Our Computer Lab consists of 28 workstations.  We have received brand new flat panel monitors this Christmas for our lab.  The lab also has a Hitachi Projector System with a large screen which is useful for viewing and instructing to large groups.

In our computer lab, the students use programs to help improve their reading, writing, and math skills.  We use software like Type to Learn to  increase their keyboarding and computer skills.  We have students working in Word, Excel, and Power Point.  We have many programs on our computers in the lab and in the classrooms, such as Reader Rabbit Thinking Adventure, Reader Rabbit Math Level 1 & 2, Heartsoft, Math Workshop, Star Reading and Math, Accelerated Reader, and a Phonics software called HelpMe2Learn.
